This quick release plate is designed to work with the QV-1, so if you already own a QV-1, having extra quick release plates allows for easy switching if you need to connect to multiple cameras, this combination or products allow you to quickly attach a set of 8" 15mm rails to the QV-1 baseplate mounted under your camera. The QV-1Baseplate can also accept Manfrotto 501PL plates if you choose not to use our QV-1 LCD View finder plate.
